Emerald History
Emeralds need gentle wear and care.
Color: light to dark green, often with a slight bluish tint. Most expensive is bluish green that is deep, vibrant and seductive.
Clarity: Often translucent or opaque.
Cut: The emerlad cut is the classic choice. Generally saves maximum weight. It is faceted in other shapes, styles or cabochon cut.
Carat Weight: Normally available in all jewelry sizes
(up to 15-20 carats). Fine quality over
10 carats are rare.
